Role Purpose

To operate and maintain Managed security infrastructure and follow day to date requests and incidents in line with business requirements.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work as part of a pan European team, working within standard processes.
  • Manages the Security infrastructure and services within Colt. The scope is load balancer, firewalls and other security devices.
  • Follow the ticketing system, Take ownerships on incidents and requests, and resolve them within the SLA.
  • Maintain, operate and support colt shared Data Centre infrastructure
  • Supports change to insure the network and services are managed in adherence to industry/Colt best practise.
  • Adheres to standard processes and procedures relating to the data centre.
  • Reviews/Approves standard changes
  • Supports the transition of new services and infrastructure into Operations.
  • Supports all Network related Incidents, Problems, Change and Request Fulfilment.
  • Strong focus on Continuous Service Improvement.
  • To support the empowerment of the TSD.
  • Take part in an on-call rota so we can deliver services 24x7.
  • Interface directly with clients during incidents, problems and changes implementation or resolution.
  • Support customer disaster recovery processes and tests.
  • Support project based work around end of life and network optimisation.
  • Strong communication and interface skills to other functional areas.
  • To potentially work within the Data Centres to resolve incidents can cannot be resolved remotely.

Experience / Qualifications

  •  Cisco Certification
  •  F5 Certification is desirable
  •  Checkpoint certification
  •  3-6 Yrs of experience
