Role Purpose

  • A Junior Developer in a telco environment, who will design, develop, test and support the software for a number of key telco number management  systems within the company. Initially starting with number  management applications and gradually moved on to other applications. This role forms a key part of the overall technology service involving the development of   various VB. Net, C#, SQL ASP.net solutions for the Front Office business users. The solutions are typically either enhancements or portfolio construction that interfaces with the existing telco  systems along with various other integration points throughout the business.

  •  Provide application development & support for key OSS systems, while ensuring high service availability & quality
  • Lead system design, development till implementation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure development, bug/fix deliveries within agreed timescales.
  • Ensure optimum user satisfaction when dealing with the Development/support organisation

Key Accountabilities

  • Gather systems development and support requirements from business users.
  •  Document requirements in a form  which can be used within the team (eg user cases, data models).
  • Analyse and validate requirements to produce high level, low level designs and specifications in line with standards and methodologies  in use.
  • Provide estimates for requirements,  analyse and develop application as per the requirement.
  • Carry out 2nd/3rd line support where required. Implement and test against specifications, delivering improvements to end users.
  • Expand and use of standard technology, frameworks, processes and best practices.
  • Educate end users on latest features,
  •  Provide examples and test cases.
  • Work to ensure end users receive high quality, high performance, and useful solutions. Including both front end and back end.

Experience / Qualifications

  •  Proficient application developer with in-depth knowledge and expertise in Microsoft's enterprise products and supporting technologies. With Minimum 2+ years on experience in Enterprise application development of core ASP .NET projects with C# and  Visual Basic(VB)(.NET Visual Basic ).
  • Minimum 2+ years in in designing and developing enterprise systems for both high availability and scalability and with proven front end experience.
  • Minimum 2+ years working in a continuous integration driven environment with proven track record of progressive thinking and continuous improvement.Minimum 2+ years Java & Spring/Struts/Hibernate development experience within OSS Domian.
  • Thorough knowledge about OOAD/OOPS/SOA   concepts with hands on application architecture, build, and deployment
  • Hands-on expertise on Web Services SOAP/RESTful, HTML5.0, JSON, Spring, JSF, Hibernate, MySQL, JPA, Oracle, Maven & Ant, JBOSS Tools, JBPM , Struts, Javascript, Perl, JUNIT, ESB, webMethods, JBOSS Application server, Hadoop, Apahce Spark etc.
  •  Skills/Qualifications: 
  • Should be familiar with standard practices like ITIL , SDLC
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Developing all levels of the application stack, including front end 
  • In  ASP.NET and Web Services, Java, Spring, Hibernate    APIs
  • In unit testing, integration testing,
  • Proficient in English language
